The jacket is made from patchwork mosaic. The patches were made in workshops by members of the community, led by members of the Baw Baw Arts Alliance mosaic group.  The coloured tiles are made from glass, and they had to be cut with a tool called a wheeled nipper.

We had three different palettes of colour that we used to make the patches. We called them rainbow, dark and cool. This means if we place the patches carefully on the coat, from a great distance it should look like 3 separate stripes.
