With our submission portal opening in a week’s time, the team set to prepare Catchment’s seventh edition will welcome new poems of place between 21 September & 21 November 2026.
As ever, Australian writers will be free to offer longer poetry and/ or tanka involving a sense of physical locality, or even perhaps an idea of place on a different level.
Yet poets are encouraged to look afresh at our guidelines, with changes having been made in relation to contributions both in Western styles & in the shorter Japanese-based verse-form.
A 50-word biographical statement will now be required before any contributor can proceed further in offering new poems as such.
Across the two months following September 21st, we will be delighted to receive evocative, powerful, well-crafted pieces of work!
