Near Budga Budga
In the slow movement of time stands gum trees and farms discretely hiding the Big Koala at Dadswells Bridge.
Mount Williams Creek meanders near.
In between the Big Koalas’ feet is the entrance to souvenirs and a café.
Park the car, wander in enjoy history. No live koalas “maybe road kill”?
Take snap shots and selfies.
Drought still lingers.
Gum trees hang their leaves bearing peoples ambivalence.
Diesel and petrol fumes enter the gum trees through their leaves and their roots. Part of the trees diet. Uninvited
The Big Koala staring silently across the A8 highway clad in its concrete fur sits in immanence near the Budga Budga.
