This project is about Hope, Harmony and Love.

We’re asking a bunch of creative people to give a message of hope, in the form of a painted flag or two, to send goodwill, healing, peace and hope into the world, that may go towards making a small contribution to restoring balance throughout the world.

Flags of Hope is an endeavour to unite all with goodwill and peace, to help restore a balance. Helping to bring positive energy to our increasingly negative world.

Come and join in with the Flags of Hope project that is being run by Sue, Jessie and Russell. Communal painting sessions are being held at the VRI Hall (next to the TAFE college on Queen Street, Warragul) between 1.30-3.30 on 23rd May, 13th June and 27th June will be a sewing day to make the flags up onto cords for hanging.

The hanging and celebration will be held in Civic Park on July 4th at 1.30-3.30. Come along and bring your friends!

Specification.

The size is A4 (297x210mm) which is the size of a normal piece of paper. This will be folded in half across a cord so the flags are A5 for display

The intent is to gather positive creative thoughts and paint thousands of flags, that, when they flap in the wind, send those positive thoughts blowing around the world.

Paint a flag with any image that is an honest description of HOPE to you. It could be words, pictures, graphics, cartoons, anything that is positive and has the possibility of spreading positive vibes around the world.

Any medium can be used, from oil paints on canvas, to felt pens on scraps of natural fabric. The only consideration is that they will be displayed outside, so they must be weatherproof.

If you would like to be on the mailing list for updates email sue.acheson@dcsi.net.au

The organisers reserve the right to use or not use any flag, as this project will be displayed in public places, will be all-inclusive, with no negative messages, no discrimination, no offensive material, or symbols of a state. Please respect copyright infringement laws by using your imagination, not that of others (and no copying from the internet).

We hope that others who are inspired by this the action join us and connect with others to make their own Flags of Hope.
