A bridge for sustainable transport
carrying buses, bikes and walkers
is named after a scientist
who developed testing methods
to help children with dyslexia
and cerebral palsy; and herself
died early from a glioma;
her contribution honoured.
A long climb from the Uni up
a sloping deck by the cemetery,
overtaken by students on scooters
while I feel the loss of the ferry —
those green years crossing at Dutton Park,
a few coins for the ferryman.
